About the Project

Tellepsen managed the construction of the Noltex – Net-15 Project, a food grade plastics manufacturing and shipping facility in LaPorte, Texas. A multi-faceted project, the work involved many disciplines, including 15,000 CY of concrete and 2,157 tons of structural steel designed to withstand 200 mph wind loads. Process equipment, auxiliary structural steel, and all 172,000 LF of piping was fabricated and shipped from China. These materials were delivered to the site in shipload increments which Tellepsen handled through highly skilled schedule management. The site itself was on an extremely small footprint with very little laydown area, so large deliveries required constant coordination and planning on the part of all craft supervision. Safety coordination was also a key consideration considering the small footprint.
