About the Project

The new school replaced the existing Lomax School in its entirety. The new Lomax Elementary was designed to support a core capacity of 750 students and contains core spaces including administration offices, library, art and science rooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, music, and ancillary support areas. Site amenities include new staff and visitor parking areas, parent drop off/pick-up drive, bus loop drop-off/pick-up, detention area, fencing, security lighting and surveillance cameras, sidewalk paving, play fields, playground equipment and a community walking track.

The scope of work included demolition of the existing 92,000-square-foot Lomax School and the building foundation in its entirety.
