About the Project
Located on the existing Baker School site, the new School replaces existing Baker Sixth Grade School in its entirety. The new Baker school was designed to support a core capacity of 750 students and contains core spaces including administration offices, library, art and science rooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, band, choir, orchestra and ancillary support areas. The facility is equipped with an emergency generator to provide continuous power during a storm event. Site amenities include new staff and visitor parking areas, parent drop off/pick-up drive, bus loop drop-off/pickup, detention area, fencing, security lighting and surveillance cameras, sidewalk paving, play fields, playground equipment and a community walking track.
The scope of work included demolition of existing Baker School (140,000 sq. ft.). The scope of the demolition included the building foundation in its entirety.
