About the Project

The Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA is a “crown jewel” in the bustling revitalization of the downtown Houston community. Serving over 10,000 members, it is the largest operating YMCA of Greater Houston. Through a fervent commitment to sustainability, the 110,000-square-foot facility has received LEED Gold certification. The Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA is the flagship of the YMCA of Greater Houston, replacing the previous 70-year-old downtown facility. It provides amenities and services that the former facility was unable to offer, including a 3-level parking garage, child watch program, women’s wellness center and indoor running/walking track.
