About the Project

Sugar Creek Baptist Church has been a staple of Southwest Houston since 1975. Since its inception, Sugar Creek has been able to meet the needs of thousands of Houstonians. The church has made a commitment to impacting their community and beyond through outreach campaigns and a wide range of ministries. The church's continued growth lead to the need for the expansion of its facilities. Tellepsen partnered with Sugar Creek and Merriman Holt Architects on the church's latest expansion. The project consisted of a 108,000-square-foot, 4-story multi-purpose children's building, gymnasium, new gathering space, and central mechanical plant relocation.
